This is just a simple example of how you can always make space for everyone to write. There's various way to how you can separate the messages.
The more common you've seen on VDT so far is the "box". Drawing boxes, speech dialog boxes and more so that one can write it. Save the messy messages all over the page, it'll be a lot more organised then many just cramming and the receiver trying to make out which is part of whose message!
